#SundayFunday at Treylor Park

Treylor Park Sunday Funday, The Foodie Featurec

We’ve been having amazing weather in Savannah lately especially now that the blaze has past, and fall is near. Whenever we are beached out, we usually head downtown in search of relaxing atmosphere and of course good eats!

You will rarely catch us locals north of Broughton St. Every now and then, our hearts crave the nostalgia of River St. This is where we started our Sunday for a stroll.  Parking was a bear (per usual), so we parked closer to MLK and avoided these treacherous stair that can take you down to River St. (That area is great for Instagram pictures though… Just saying!;))

We walked along taking in the sights and smells resisting the urge to step into River Street Sweets who sells tantalizing pecan pralines! After perusing for about 30 minutes, we were hungry and my first instinct was Treylor Park!

On a football Sunday, you want to be surrounded by great people, beer, and shareable bites. Well their beer garden is where you want to be! It was about 83 degrees outside which is breezy to us, so the weather was perfect for outdoor seating.

We ordered some IPAs while looking over the menu and the beau caught up on the day’s football highlights. Okay, so I may be Treylor Park fanatic after interviewing their executive chef, Marvin Sterling III. I’ve had the Treylor Park Nachos Grande, the Grilled Apple Pie Sandwich, the Popcorn Shrimp, and the Shrimp & Bacon Quesedilla. I wanted to try something funky as well as get a taste of the infamous PB & J Wings and Chicken & Pancake Tacos, so we ordered those plus the Ahi Tuna Pizza…

All I’ve got to say is… 😍😍🙌🏾! We were pleasantly surprised by the Ahi Tuna Pizza which had the taste of sushi yet gave me the guilty pleasure thoughts that come with eating pizza. (It sounds weird, but try it!) As you can see, this was way too much food for two people. Sometimes you’ve got to live a little… Aaaand have delicious leftovers to enjoy while catching Fear The Walking Dead later.

Afterwards, we stopped by the new H&M for the first time then again resisted the urge to get more Rolled Thai Ice Cream… If you’re in Savannah, Treylor Park is definetely a must stop!
