Ok, I’ll admit it. I’m obsessed with Pokemon Go. When it was released a few weeks ago, it took the entire country by storm, and there’s no greater example of that than how businesses have reacted to the frenzy. Restaurants and businesses have used the app’s power to draw customers in, and Savannah’s restaurant scene has definitely taken notice.
Leopold’s Ice Cream:
Always a Savannah staple for tourists and locals alike, we didn’t need another reason to get drawn into this famous ice cream shop but they found a way!
The Chromatic Dragon:
Quite possibly the biggest player in the game is The Chromatic Dragon. Hosting several Lure Parties where Pokemon are lured to the bar for people to catch, they have climbed to the top of the leaderboard in the Pokemon Go restaurant craze. So far since the app’s launch the gaming bar has hosted lure parties three weekends in a row serving up Pokemon themed menu items and drinks.
This Savannah bakery has been offering a free bakery item to any customers who catch one in their store. Take a picture of the Pokemon using the app’s camera feature or screenshot on your phone and show it at the counter to redeem this special.
Restaurants aren’t the only ones getting in on the craze. Bar Crawl Savannah is bringing all the Pokemon love with their upcoming Poke-Pub Crawl event. If you’re ready to get out there and “catch ‘em all” you’re not gonna want to miss this one!
Other Businesses and Restaurants:
The craze hasn’t gone unnoticed by several types of businesses all trying to lure players into their stores or restaurants. Places like Southbound Brewing Company and Blowin’ Smoke have posted these pictures in an attempt to lure players in.
