Savannians and visitors alike are quickly making the Bay St. restaurant, Treylor Park, a must on their to-do list. The laid back atmosphere, unique comfort food, and spicy Pickle Back shots keep everyone coming back for more! Now, the owners have given us another feel-good place to enjoy… Introducing Hitch.
We attended the grand opening on Friday night, and needless to say the room was packed. Just to give us a little taste of what was to come, food was complimentary and
drinks were poured right and left. The crowd almost personified the aura that we love at Treylor Park, trendy and casual. Friends asked strangers to sit at their tables to share hors d’oeurs like giant fried balls and cheese boards fit for a king’s feast. We admired the decor featuring nods to old Western films and exposed copper piping throughout the restaurant. Also, shout out to the staff! They were working their tails off, listening attentively over the noise of the crowd, and all with a smile on their face. The night was a fun mixture of party and tasting that I hope to see more of in future restaurant openings in the city.
Now anyone who’s lived in Savannah for the past two or more years will tell you the history of that corner on Liberty and Drayton. Long story short, restaurants come and go quicker than you change apartments. Knowing the love that Treylor Park receives and seeing the likeness in Hitch? I’d say we’ll be having girls’ night there for many years to come.
